Girls'Day 2024

We look back on a successful Girls'Day Workshop 2024. With great enthusiasm, we spent an exciting day together exploring the fascinating world of bridges.

Under the motto "Why do bridges have different shapes?", we first got to know each other over a cosy lunch before diving full of energy into the world of bridge construction. Together, we explored different bridge shapes and materials, from classic arch bridges to modern suspension bridges. The girls had the opportunity to develop their own ideas and build bridge models using a wide variety of materials. The highlight of the workshop was undoubtedly the moment when the self-built bridges were tested for their load-bearing capacity. We watched with excitement as the constructions withstood the load tests.

We would like to thank all the participants for their great co-operation, curiosity and creative energy. We hope you had a lot of fun and were able to gain new insights into the world of structural engineering. We are looking forward to next year!
